Why choose our beef?

We had a successful tasting at a high-end Farm to Fork restaurant called Stone Barns in Pocantico Hill, New York.

From this tasting we discovered the beneficial nutritional value of our beef, our amazing marbling, and the excellent taste.

Family Special

At Lohrding Three Bar Ranch, we specialize in providing grass-finished heifers or steers that are slightly older, perfect for hamburger meat and exquisite fillet steaks. Older animals boast enhanced flavor profiles, making them ideal for creating the juiciest hamburgers and the most succulent fillet steaks you'll ever taste.

Whole or Half - $3.00/lb live weight

We provide a significant discount for those interested in purchasing our beef in larger quantities such as a quarter, half, or whole beef. Our pricing system is based on the live weigh. This method, determined at the processing stage, offers the most precise and fair pricing approach. Since each processed beef is distinct, the cut ratio varies slightly due to individual bone sizes. Below, we present an average example of what you can anticipate as far as type of animal, freezer space, and approximate amount of meat you could get.

How much freezer space will I need?

Approximately 25 pounds of meat can be stored in one cubic foot of space.

For those considering meat storage:

1/4 Beef (around 115 - 120 pounds of meat): it should fit comfortably in the side-by-side freezer section of your fridge, provided you keep other items minimal. Alternatively, a small cube chest freezer is an ideal choice.

1/2 Beef (approximately 230 pounds of meat): we recommend opting for a 7.5 cubic foot chest freezer.

Whole Beef (approximately 470 pounds of meat): a 14 cubic foot or larger chest freezer is the most suitable choice.

What Comes in my Order?

Below is a table that offers approximate quantities for each type of cut you'll receive in your order. Please note that there may be minor variations in your actual order, and you can choose different cuts if they are available. For instance, you can opt for T-bone steaks instead of having them cut into strips and filets

The term "live weight" refers to the weight of the carcass before it undergoes processing into individual cuts. The weight of the meat you'll take home will typically be about 25% to 35% less, depending on your selected cutting preferences.

*Please note that the weights provided are estimates and may not align precisely with the chart provided, as each cow's weight varies. Our butcher strives to provide you with the maximum quantity possible and will make every effort to fulfill your order as closely as possible to your specifications on the cut sheet.*
